Vancouver, BC: World renowned poet, Rumi, comes to the big screen! Imagika Productions is pleased to announce the feature film production of “Rumi: The Movie”. As the best selling poet in North America,  the  life story of this extraordinary man who lived 800 years ago, is set to become a blockbuster.

The film takes us on a riveting journey through the life of Rumi and  his mentor and spiritual guide, Shams (The Sun) of Tabriz. The first  climactic event of the film is the often retold, dramatic meeting of  the two men, and Rumi’s immediate devotion to his teacher. The life  of  Rumi and his experiential journey through mysticism will be a film that  

transcends time and place, a joy for all generations.

Rumi is produced by Malcolm Clark (two-time Academy Award winner) and Scott Frank (Emmy Award winner) as well as executive producer Bahram Heidari, who will spearhead the the team leading the project through its’ exciting completion. The film will be directed by Geoff Browne and production is scheduled to begin in the Summer of 2008 for a 2009 release date.
